A trip back to Ayer Tawar

I just came back yesterday.. phew~ long journey.

Woke up 6am on Saturday and had a long journey back to my hometown, Ayer Tawar, Sitiawan, Perak. We went back for my cousin brother's wedding held on Sunday.
The wedding ran smoothly and traditionally. I enjoyed my visit back to Ayer Tawar, though it was sometimes boring. I spent lots of time playing with my niece and nephew lo.
Throughout this trip back, my family and i makan a lot only.. Kept eating and eating, really gained lots of weight. So many nice stuff to eat. Ate super delicious cendol at sitiawan and many more fukzhou delicacies. There is this handmade noodles store 50 steps behind the back door of the house. It's really good! The one with soup is called Loo Mian; the dry one is called Kangpuan. One big bowl only costs RM 2.20!! Super super delicious!

Also, on Monday, celebrated my nephew's 9th birthday. happy Birthday Phang Jun Xian! ^^

My dearest kitty.. passed away this morning.
Cause of death? long story..
It started on the 13^th of August.
I asked my sister to drive me out to the bookshop to buy some stuff.
Then when we came home, as usual the cats were lazing at the car porch.
According to my mum, my sister wasnt driving slow enough.
I wasnt aware though i was in the car. I was enjoying the radio.
My sister was driving into the car pouch when... *bump* the driver's wheel ran over something.
I rushed out of the car! and saw poor BoyBoy crying and growling in extreme pain.
Immediately called the doctor. Then took him to the clinic.
Friday, while I was at the installation, BoyBoy was undergoing surgery for his complete bone fracture located at the right hind leg.
Yesterday night got a phone call from Dr Tan and he said that BoyBoy hasnt been urinating although he drank lots of water. Dr said there's a leakage, the urine leaking into the abdomen.
Dr Tan planned to solve the problem today, but this morning found him dead. His bladder burst.

I didnt get to see him.. since Thursday, he hadnt even had his dinner. Until the day he died, never ate. Saturday afternoon, when I was in school, mummy and my 2 sisters went visit him.

I miss him so much! He was the most obedient cat of the 7 cats.
When I say come, he'll come.
When I say up, he'll jump up on my laps.
When I say out, he'll get out of the room.
When I say No, he'll give me an innocent look, along with a Meow~

I feel guilty.. I was the one who had to go to the bookshop.. sobz..
But the largest guilt, i know, is beared by my elder sister.
She accidently.. in directly... ehhem.. our kitty.
We'll sure miss him. It's sad.

Dumb cat, u should have ran 2 seconds earlier,
u should have ran faster..

Oh, dearest BoyBoy. WE LOVE YOU! Can u hear us?

Hiccups
What are hiccups? Are you curious? =)
I'm sure you can get more professional tips from the net.
But let me share some information I've learnt during my most recent Biology lesson at Pusat Tuisyen Kasturi.

A normal hiccup occurs when your breathing center (located at the medulla oblongata of the brain) accidentally sends a wrong information to your breathing mechanisms.
Example:
When you inhale, your intercostal muscle contracts, rib cage move outwards and diaphragm downwards. But what if your diaphragm receives a wrong message and moves upwards? Air rushes out your lungs and flows in your lungs at the same time. The opposite direction of the air flow causes that akward sound known as hiccups.

How to get rid of hiccups?
As our chemoreceptors in our blood only detects the concentration of carbon dioxide/CO₂, the objective is to higher the concentration of CO₂ in our blood. When the concentration of CO₂ in your body rises, chemoreceptors detects it, sends information to the breathing centre. The breathing centre will then resend information to your breathing mechanisms. New and correct information controls your breathing process, breathing goes back to normal mode. Hiccup porblems solved! =)

Explaining the tradisional ways taught by our parents or grandparents:
Drink lots of water:
When you drink water, your trachea closes so that the water enters to the oesophagus and wont get you choked. Therefore in the process of drinking, we actually do not breathe. While drinking for a long~ period, you arent breathing for a long period too. Concentration of CO₂ increases in time.

Holding your breath:
Meaning not breathing.. so that the CO₂ concentration rises. To acheive the objective, it takes some time. Hence, you have to hold your breath for long enough.

Best way! x)
Grab a plastic bag and cover your nose and mouth with it. Start breathing with the plastic bag covering your nose and mouth. This way, you will inhale the CO₂ you exhaled out. Then the concentration of CO₂ in your blood rushes up. In a nutshell, this is the fastest way to heal you hiccup.

Just upset

I thought you would know what it feels like when you just dont want ppl to ask you things that'll bring back the unhappy feeling. I thought you would understand.
You used to tell me not to ask so much, cause it makes you feel hurtful, annoyed.
I really had no mood to answer those questions, I dont want to even think about it anymore. Please dont bring it back.. At least not now.
